Uttarakhand’s top 10 treks

Uttarakhand is characterized by busy towns and quiet hill stations. This magnificent Indian country is surrounded by the Himalayan peaks and lowland forests. Many visitors come here to enjoy the beauty of the grounds for adventure, spirituality, and many times. For trekkers with the state hosting the second highest peak in India, Uttarakhand is a common choice. In Uttarakhand, there are 10 treks.

1. Bali Pass Trek

Bali Pass Trek is a trip to Yamunotri, the place of origin of the holy River Yamuna, via the Sanctuary of Govind Wildlife. The place is home to green pastures, trees, and wildlife through numerous rivers and rivulets like Tons and Siyan Gad. On the way to the holy Yamunotri shrine along the Bali road, ascending the Ruinsara Tal.

2. Chopta Chandrashila Trek

Chopta is an area surrounded by perennial forest and meadows, part of the Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary. The woods of Deodar, Oak, and Rhododendron bring vibrant colors. The Chandrashila Trek offers a magnificent view of Trishul, Nanda Devi, and Chaukhamba hills. During winter, Tungnath Temple and Chandrashila are ice-covered and the place is famous for snowfall and ice-capping mountains as Minic Switzerland.

3. Auden Col Trek

A high-altitude trek is ideal for seasoned trekking enthusiasts. Mountain Pass Auden connects the Valley of Rudugaira with the Valley of Bhilangna. You can be witness to the splendor of the Khatling Glacier and of the Rudra Ganga Drain. Every year, however difficult the walk maybe, there are many tourists crossing the Auden Col to walk between Gangotri and Kedarnath.

4. Roopkund Trek

In the adventurous Roopkund trek, you will find a glacier lake locally called Mystery and Skeletons Lake. The name comes from the human skeletons, which are visible under the lake when snow melts. The place gets its name. The place is ideal with mountains covered with snow and grasslands of Bedni Bugyal. You can see from the vantage point of Roopkund the views of Trishul, Nanda Ghunti, and Badrinath.

5. Satopanth Lake Trek

Satopanth Lake is one of the shadows of powerful Himalayan peaks. Because of its triangular form, the lake has a lot of religious significance and is said to be the place of auspicious baths for Trimoortis, Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. The uncommon bird variety found here is thought to be the Gandharvas that protect the lake.

6. Rupin Pass Trek

The Rupin Pass spans a wide range of pulsating glaciers and snow-covered fields. This trek gives the nerves a real thrill as you pass the villages, climb up snowy areas and cross the rivers. The incredible part of the trek is that it starts with Uttarakhand and finishes with a stunning view of Kinner Kailash in Himachal Pradesh.

7. Dayara Bugyal – Dodital Trek

Dayara Bugyal-Dodital walk leads you through an alpine experience along with the canopy of oak, deodar, and pine trees. During the wintertime, skiing becomes the favorite sport of visitors, as the site is fully covered with ice. Barnala Lake with its green emerald water along the ridge is an eye treat.

8. Gomukh Tapovan Trek

Even for untrained trekkers, with little difficult terrain and harsh climate in their fight against, the Gomukh Tapovan trip is a pleasant one. The flora and fauna here are stunningly graceful, whether the coniferous pines in Chyriba and the birch in Bhojwassa or the herd of black mountain goats on the ridges of mountains. 10. Kedartal Trek

Kedartal Tour provides glamorous views over glacial lakes, endangered and indigenous animals such as the haral, Goral, Black Bear of the Himalayas, and majestic peaks.
